Open Channel Systems understands that no two utilities have the same water supply, demands or conservation goals.  That is why our analytics and conservation tools have been developed to work either collaboratively or independently of each other — and have the option of integrating with utility billing data.

The Open Channel Difference

Since not all utility connections or service IDs need conservation, the Open Channel System only charges for the connections that are determined to be in need of conservation best practices. While other companies charge monthly per connection regardless of demand or need, the Open Channel System enables utilities to define who needs rebates, audits and communications based on demand and conservation objectives. As a result, we charge a fraction of the one-size-fits-all competitors.

Access to automated and secure communications via the client relationship management tool of your choice is based on a graduated scale per connection.

Water Efficiency Targets Manager

Employing the Water Efficiency Targets tool to understand what residences and business need audits and conservation programs is also based on a graduated scale per connection.

AUDITING AND REPORTING TOOLS

WaterCheck – Irrigation, Residential and Commercial

Irrigation auditing and reporting is made simple with the tablet-based WaterCheck Irrigation application.

Standard setup is $3,500 with a use fee ranging from $15 to $25 per use. Minimums apply. Setup includes the utility-branded application and output reports plus secure data hosting and access controls.

Training is available for utility personnel, or Open Channel Systems can deliver boots on the ground to help assist with field audits.

Audit Costing by Segment:

• For Multi-family and Hospitality pricing is based on the number of units.
• For Hospitals pricing is based on the number of beds.
• For Commercial, Industrial and Institutional pricing is based on square foot.

Pricing includes auditing, output reports, secure data hosting and access.  Built in limits (a maximum amount charged) apply to all commercial audits.

GIS Layers – Commercial Irrigation

Our custom GIS Layer’s tool is designed to work collaboratively with the Utility GIS team and can be associated with the accompanying WaterCheck Irrigation tools.
